Welcome to Tryon Hills Pre-Kindergarten Center!
Tryon Hills Pre-K Center serves three and four year olds throughout Mecklenburg County who have been screened or identified as having an educational need and would benefit from a developmentally appropriate, early childhood curriculum. The center is an integral part of the system-wide goal of having all students proficient in reading and math skills and performing at or above grade level in both areas.
The center is designed to provide a literacy-rich experience for children with identified educational needs. There is strong parent involvement as evidenced by all parents signing parent contracts to attend at least four parent workshops, participate in parent/teacher home visits, agree to read 100 books to their child and volunteer in their child's classroom.
Tryon Hills is fortunate to receive generous financial support from several corporate, community, and church groups, including:
- Wachovia Bank
- Target
- Harris Teeter
- Assistance League of Charlotte
The professional staff at Tryon Hills is dedicated to providing high quality, research based literacy and early childhood experiences for all children in order that they learn the skills necessary to become well educated citizens.
We are committed to excellence and high expectations for children as we continue to celebrate the successes of our students and appreciate and value the importance of parent and community involvement in the lives of our three and four year old students.
We welcome and value our parents, visitors, volunteers, community sponsors and partnerships. To schedule a school tour or classroom visit, please call me at (980)343-5510. I look forward to sharing the success story behind Bright Beginnings at Tryon Hills!
