Please read the following carefully. If you have any questions about these terms, please ask your school trainer for clarification before you register for your CMS Pages site. When you sign up for your CMS Pages site, you are indicating your understanding and acceptance of these terms. Terms are subject to change without notice.

What is “CMS Pages”?

CMS Pages is the only approved and supported website program provided by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools with which teachers, PTAs, and school-sponsored organizations may create their own websites.

Teachers:
Each teacher may register for one site for use with their classes
Register using your CMS e-mail address

PTAs:
Each PTA may register for one site
Register using a CMS PTA e-mail address
If you do not have a CMS PTA e-mail address, please contact cmspages
A site cannot link to an outside PTA, PTSA
(for example: .org, .com, .net)
It has to be a CMS pages address

School Clubs, Organizations, Grade Levels, Athletic Teams Sponsors:
Each school-sponsored club may have one site
This includes but is not limited to SLT, Guidance, Sports, Band, etc. 
Register using your personal CMS e-mail address.

CMS Departments: Do not register for a site here.
You must contact the Web Team to have your site set up.

School Websites: Do not register for a site here.
School webmasters must contact the Web Team to have your site set up.

Students:
Students are not allowed to register for, modify, or maintain CMS Pages sites

Only registrations using a CMS e-mail address will be accepted.

How do I register for my CMS Pages website?

You MUST read, understand, and accept “terms of use" on this page, then follow the instructions to continue with your registration.

What can I do with my website?

  • Link to educational sites ONLY
  • Follow Copyright rules
  • Link to the CMS Internet website
  • Link to your school's website
  • Post homework
  • Post classwork
  • Upload files to be used for classwork or homework
  • Upload files and forms for parents to use
  • Provide information about yourself and your class
  • Provide your CMS e-mail address for correspondence with parents, students, and the community
  • Invite visitors to become members of your site so they receive your bulletins by e-mail


What am I NOT allowed to do?

  • Don't link to private domains or personal websites, including teacher pages created on third party websites
  • Don't link to CMS Webmail login, CMS Calendar login, or the CMS Intranet login
  • Don't link to business/commercial/religious websites
  • Don't link to non-CMS e-mail addresses
  • Don't display student photos, work or name without a Photo and Video Release Form on file
  • Don’t associate a name with a photograph  – remember to protect the privacy of others
  • Don't use CMS Pages for discussion groups, weblogs, news groups, or RSS feeds
  • Don't make changes to settings other than those included in the instructions. 
  • Don't allow students to register for, modify, or maintain CMS Pages sites
  • Don't upload files (personal or school-related) simply for storage
