Sterling Tiger Creed I know I can be a good student by showing good character. I will work hard to succeed at school each day. I can learn. I want to learn. I must learn.
Sterling Philosophy
Sterling is a wonderful place for adults and children to learn and grow. We believe and encourage the adults in our building to learn and grow in order to filter this desire into the children we serve. As the adults aim to grow, we provide educational opportunities that foster learning and growth experiences for the “whole child”. The children that enter this building are immersed with support and encouragement throughout their elementary years.
We have a host of dedicated staff who believe that all children should and will experience overall success. The Sterling Staff pride themselves in creating learning opportunities that meet the needs of all children, regardless of race, socio-economic status, ethnicity or academic ability. We openly seek strategies that help our children become improved students, “better” friends and successful adults. Sterling has an open door policy and we welcome you to visit with us at any time.

Our Principal
Ms. Nancy Guzman
It's important to encourage more learning at home. Some parents might not believe it. The saying, "Parents are a child's most influential teachers" - still holds true. What YOU do in your home can expand your child's learning immeasura¬bly. Here are some ideas for promoting learning: 1— Read Poetry as a family 2— Go regularly on family walks 3— Listen carefully to your children, and encourage them to listen carefully to others. 4— Introduce your children to a favorite hobby of yours. 5— Encourage children to keep a diary or journal. 6— Establish a special place in your home just for reading. 7— Write a story as a family about a family trip or outing. 8— Always have children write thank-you notes. 9— Have a family jigsaw puzzle going all the times. 10— Let your children see you reading for pleasure. -Ms. Guzman
