Family Math Night 2009
Reid Park would like to give A BIG THANK YOU to all those family members that participated in the Family Math Afternoon held on December 16! This event gave an opportunity for staff, children, and families to bond while experiencing a variety of hands-on math activities in a fun and cooperative environment. The best part was being able to take the supplies and ideas out of the building in order to practice those math skills at home! But wait! The fun didn't end there!!! We also completed an activity in the science room. The children were able to construct a paper person that can climb up string using friction and slide back down using gravity! How much fun is that?!? The refreshments then topped off the afternoon. Congratulations to those that earned enough book bucks to purchase a book. We hope all families enjoyed themselves. We saw plenty of smiles and we hope that you all return for our next curriculum afternoon! Thanks again!
