What is Rams with Character?

Rams with Character is a school wide program which encourages and awards students who show good character not only within our school but at home and throughout the community as well.

Rams of the month - Each teacher selects one student which consistently demonstrates the feature character trait. Every student selected will have their picture displayed on the bulletin board located in the front lobby for all to see. Also, a phone call home will be made by our principal, Ms. Sturge, to celebrate the students' outstanding achievement along with a personal invitation to a party, with prizes, at the end of the month.

Carolina Panther All Star - Each month, one student at Reid Park will be chosen to represent our school as the Carolina Panthers All Star Student. The student which is chosen will be eligible to receive Panther football tickets and souvenirs. They could even possibly be invited to an end of the year banquet hosted by the Carolina Panthers.

Monthly Character Contest - Each month we will be holding a school wide character contest. This contest is open to all Reid Park students and is full of special prizes such as tickets to Tweetsie Railroad, The Children's Theatre, Discovery Place, The US National Whitewater Center, NC Zoo, NC Dance Theatre, Charlotte Checkers, Ray's Splash Planet, and NASCAR Speeedpark.

Do The Right Thing - Do The Right Thing is a non-profit corporation dedicated to recognizing and honoring young people in our community who make the right choices and "Do The Right Thing". Three times a year, children from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area are nominated by teachers, firefighters, police officers and the public. They are nominated for a self-sacrificing extra-ordinary act, outstanding charitable assistance they have extended, or their exemplary attitude and behavior.
