Piedmont IB Middle School is . . .
Piedmont IB Middle is a 6th through 8th grade half county public magnet school located near downtown Charlotte. We provide all of our students with a challenging and intellectual climate where they are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and behavior. Piedmont's strong academic program is provided in an environment that encourages innovation, experimentation and real-life application is supported by a strong cultural and performing arts program.
The Students . . .
Our students represent a micro society of urban Charlotte and are accepted through elementary feeder schools or through the CMS choice lottery.
The Staff . . .
Our staff is equally diverse. This diversity is part of what makes Piedmont a special place. Here students have a chance to interact and work with people from a variety of places and backgrounds. Our students leave Piedmont with an understanding of and appreciation of differences.

Parent Assist . . .
Parent Assistant is a free Internet-based program that provides information on assignments, grades, attendance and other information electronically through the CMS Web site. You must have a username and password to log on. Information for Parent Assistant can not be given over the phone. It must be done by e-mail or in person. If you need help with Parent Assistant please contact Susan Stone.
In order to receive your username and password you must send the following information:

Student's legal first and last name
-
Student's ID#
-
Student's grade level
-
Your legal first and last name
-
Your relationship to the student.
If you have more than one child in CMS, they can be linked to the same Parent Assistant username and password. Please provide the above information for all students.
