MATH GONE WILD
Computers here at Olde Providence have absolutely gone wild as our students competed worldwide with their math skills. For several weeks students have practiced this competition against eachother as well as against elementary students from 20,000 schools around the world. On March 4, Sydney, Austrailia hosted the official World Math Day competition of 2009. Students worked furiously to correctly answer many of the 452,682,682 total correct answers within a 24 hour period as possible. "Seeing so much excitement in our students doing math is an incredibly rewarding experience". While the students will continue to practice their skills we are planning to have Olde Providence make the top 50 schools list next year! http://www.worldmathday.com/

Wild About Numbers

395 Olde Providence Students correctly answered a total of 233,062 ! During the contest our children competed for 10,752 minutes with an average improvement or 103.419%.

Welcome to technology!
I am very happy to be instructing your children this year. Each grade level works hard in computer class, and I am impressed with how much they are capable of doing here at Olde Providence. We have a great time learning new things in the computer lab together!
