Students purchase their lunch in the cafeteria or bring their lunch from home.  We ask parents and students to refrain from bringing fast food lunches or canned sodas to our cafeteria.  We highly recommend milk, juice, or other nutritious beverages with lunch.

Students may pay for their lunches in advance by the week or the month before school.  If paying by check, please make the check payable to Mountain Island Elementary.  Extra money can also be put into their accounts for extra food or desserts.  Students who pay in advance will have the price of their lunch plus any extras deducted daily as they pass through the cashier at lunch.  Students who pay for their lunch on a daily basis will pay in cash to the cashier as they pass through the lunch line.  Students who have over-drawn accounts at the end of the year will not receive their report cards until the account has been paid off.
