MIE Goes Green!

Our school cares about the environment, so we have decided to eliminate as many paper products as possible when communicating with our students and staff.  Rather than printing our meeting agendas, we display them on the overhead.  We email our weekly communique.  We post important information on the Public Folder on our computer network.  We are posting grade level newsletters on their websites rather than printing off paper copies to send home.

Our PTA has taken important action to help our efforts at being more environmentally friendly.  Instead of handing out hundreds of paper copies of PTA information in Thursday Folders, we will begin sending out an email on Thursdays with necessary information and attachments.  We will also post these items on this website under the link Thursday Folders.

For families who do not have internet access, a hard copy of important items will still be sent home in Thursday Folders.  Our current count for family email addresses is 632!  This will make a wonderful impact on saving trees on our Earth.

We celebrated School Spirit Week January 11-15.  Click here to check out our photos from this fun week!
