Welcome to the Media Center Page!

Permanent link to archive for 11/19/08. Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Welcome to the website for Tuckaseegee's Media Center!  Students will visit the media center regularly, where they will learn valuable skills that will allow them to become informative and productive citizens.

This year, I plan to bring skills and tools to the students that will teach them tools of the 21st century, including creating podcasts and video production.  Of course, this is in addition to learning to use the media center, finding materials, reading and completing AR books and tests, and reading, reading, reading!

If you have any questions, concerns or ideas, please contact me!  Also, please sign up for the member bulletins on the left tool bar, and you'll automatically receive updates from me and the media center!

Thanks,

Morgan Reece

Volunteers Needed!

We are always in need of volunteers (parents, community members, older siblings, etc) to help out in the media center.  Activities could include:

  • bulletin board designs and creations
  • reshelving books,
  • checking in/out books,
  • Book Fair assistance,
  • Assisting with the Terrapin News Station,
  • Also, if you would like to volunteer to read elementary-level books and give a review, please let Mrs. Reece know. The Media Services department and various book publishers donate new books to our library if we give reviews!
