Dear Lake Wylie Staff, Parents and Students,

Jeremy Borja, a fourth grader at LWES and art student of Mrs. Burcham, won first place in the Heart Association Poster Contest sponsored by The Greater Charlotte Area Heart Association. Jeremy won a new bicycle and helmet for his artistic efforts and Mrs. Burcham won a huge basket of art supplies for the art department! They were also invited, along with their families, to attend the annual Heart Ball. It was a wonderful evening and getting VERY dressed up was exciting as well.
The other nine posters submitted by LWES will also travel along with Jeremy's first place drawing to various Presbyterian Medical facilities in the area. Those artists are: Sadarius Covington, Christine Chee, Marcus Henderson, Jasmine Riddick, Arryonna Cox, Haley Murdock, Thuy Rogle, Ashely Moreno & Marlon Lam. We are very proud of our talented and caring young artists!
We are partners in educating the students of Lake Wylie and I am eager to begin collaborating with you. If you need me, I am always just a phone call: 980-343-3680, email: angel.oliphant@cms.k12.nc.us , or visit away. You can contact me at anytime. Sincerely, Angel Oliphant Calling all Parent/Family Volunteers!
