John Taylor Williams Middle School Attention Parents, Guardians and Students New start and end times (bell schedule) for the 2009-2010 school year: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Board of Education voted June 23 to change the start and end times for John Taylor Williams Middle (and Northwest School of the Arts) for next school year. Beginning August 25, 2009, we will start school at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. By moving our start and end times, CMS can reduce transportation costs by approximately $600,000 and the need to cut approximately 15 teaching positions.
