Welcome to Hickory Grove Elementary! Home of the Wildcats! We are a Pre-K through 5th Grade School Principal:  Billie Gentry Assistant Principal:  Nena Green Assistant Principal:  Sharon Nelson Assistant Principal:  Jamal Henry     Our Mission Statement Hickory Grove Elementary School will implement a nurturing and safe, child-centered program, where creativity enhances academic achievement in a challenging educational environment.  The total child’s development will be strengthened through the commitment of home, school, and community.   Our Vision Statement As active participants in the learning community of Hickory Grove Elementary School, our vision is to provide and support a nurturing, academic environment in which all students acquire the knowledge, skills, character, and values necessary to become productive citizens in an increasingly diverse global community.   Our Belief Statements Students will learn in a positive learning environment where individual learning styles are supported through differentiation of instruction. Students will learn when actively engaged in authentic hands on tasks that develop higher level thinking. Student diversity and talents will be identified, valued, nurtured, and celebrated Highly effective teachers work as a team with open communication to develop efficient solutions to problems. A safe and orderly environment promotes learning. The school will provide support for all teachers and support staff through mentoring and professional development.
