School Uniforms:  The question about Endhaven adopting a school uniform policy was raised at a School Leadership Team meeting at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year by an Endhaven parent.  Research was done on the CMS School Uniform policy and process for adopting uniforms.  That policy is attached.  The School Leadership Team decided to conduct an initial interest survey to see whether or not there was interest from the parent community on moving forward with this.  That survey was done via phone using Connect-Ed on January 5, 2010.  Approximately 280 out of 628 families responded which is 44.7% of our families.  Of those responding, 52.5% said that they were interested in Endhaven pursuing a uniform policy.  47.8% responded that they were not interested in this.  Board Policy states that for Endhaven to adopt a uniform policy, "70% of the potential respondents must register a response and, of those who respond, 75% must indicate their agreement with the proposed plan."  Based on this data, the School Leadership Team will discuss how they wish to proceed at their next meeting on March 10, 2010 at 4:15pm.

Thanks.
