The Crestdale Campus Crime Stoppers is a unique program that encourages students to get involved to keep their school safe. This program is a joint effort between Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers, Inc., the Matthews Police Department, Crestdale Middle School, and the community of Matthews to decrease the threat of violence, illegal drugs, weapons, and other dangerous activity from the school campus.
The goal of the Crestdale Campus Crime Stoppers Program is to have a 100% safe school. This involves more than just taking and following up on anonymous tips. Students today are faced with dangers, such as dating violence, internet predators, bullying, drugs, underage drinking, and more. This program strives to provide students with access to the people and services that can eliminate these types of threats
