Admission Requirements and Application Students who are interested in applying to Cato Middle College High School must successfully complete the following requirements: Currently enrolled as a student in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Out-of-County students must provide proof of enrollment in a CMS school for the upcoming school year Earned credits to be a rising eleventh or twelfth grader Earned level III or higher on all End-of-Course Assessments Earned level III or higher on the 10th Grade English Writing Assessments Completed and passed Algebra I, Geometry, Biology I, World History, Health and PE, and Civics and Economics Have a passing score (level 3 or higher) on all of the following Gateway End-of-Course Tests: English I, Algebra I, Biology I, Civics and Economics, and U.S. History (U.S. History only for incoming seniors) 2.5 Un-weighted cumulative grade point average Seniors who apply to the Middle College Program must have all eligibility requirements met and be on track to graduate on time Good attendance( students cannot have excessive absences). Good behavior( students cannot have in-school suspensions or out-of-school suspensions) Successful interview When filling out your application, please remember the following: Please read the application carefully. All transcript and attendance information, must accompany the application when it is submitted. Please use the application admission checklist to verify that all infromation is included and the packet is complete.
