Our Mission Statement "To encourage all students to become lifelong learners and successful citizens by providing an academically challenging and culturally rich environment."   Our Vision We, the students, parents, staff and community of Bruns Avenue, will: use the foundation of our past and the technology of the present and future to build a successful school and community by instilling both pride and the expectations for improved achievement by our students. Our Beliefs Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs and talents, which will be nurtured within the school environment. Students must master essential knowledge and develop critical thinking skills. A cooperative, community spirit is important to a safe school environment. Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process. Curriculum and instructional practices should incorporate a variety of challenging learning activities to accommodate differences in learning styles. Teachers, administrators, parents, students, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school's mission. Our school works to encourage students to become self-motivated and have high expectations in all areas of school life.
