Accelerated Reader
Our library media program strongly supports our AR program. We have many AR books in our library and we will continue to purchase AR books throughout the school year. We encourage students to use open check out in order to meet their AR goals. If your child checks out a book with a colored dot on the spine, it is an AR book. Our AR books are sorted by the following colored dots.
- Level one - black dot
- Level two - yellow dot
- Level three - orange dot
- Level four - blue dot
- Level five - green dot
- Level six - red dot

Open Check Out is Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 2:45.
Lost/Damaged Books. Students at the elementary level are not charged for overdue books. If a book is overdue, your student will not be able to check out another book until the overdue book is returned to the Library Media Center. If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the parent(s)/guardian are responsible for payment of the book. Payment must be made by the end of the school year in order for your student to receive his/her report card.
Parents and volunteers are always welcomed in the media center!
Please refer to the volunteer bulletin board in the media workroom and the volunteer handbook located behind the circulation desk.
