Mrs. Alwran

Picture and bio coming soon.

Ms. Grissom
School Counselor

Picture coming soon.

This is Ms. Grissom's first year as a school counselor at Berryhill Elementary.  So far she loves it! The students and faculty have been so welcoming.

Ms. Grissom received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She remained there to get her M Ed. in School Counseling. She has been a high school counselor in Tennessee for the last four years. She moved to Charlotte to be with her fiancé who produces the pre-game show for the Charlotte Bobcats. So far she loves Charlotte and her job, even though she misses her friends and family in Tennessee.

In her free time, Ms. Grissom enjoys traveling. Going to the beach is one of her favorite things! She is getting married on the beach this July. She also enjoys shopping, trying new restaurants, cooking, being outdoors and animals. She would have a house full of dogs and cats if she could!

Mrs. McGuire
Behavioral Health

Picture coming soon.

Mrs. McGuire has worked in the social work profession as director of the Salvation Army Shelter for Homeless Women and Children, for the University of NC at Chapel Hill in their doctoral research program for at-risk children, for the Virginia and NC Department of Social Services and for EI DuPont as  manager for their training facility and ropes course. She currently works for Carolinas Healthcare System as a licensed clinical social worker, and independently as a therapist/sole proprietor of Children and Family Counseling Services.

Mrs. McGuire has lived in Laurinburg, NC (where she grew up), Greensboro, NC, Luray, Virginia, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Summerville, SC (near Charleston) and Charlotte.

Unlike the rest of her family, Mrs. McGuire has a very green thumb. She has two lab retrievers who are fabulous animals:, Carter (black) and Finley (blond).

In her free time, Mrs. McGuire enjoys competitive ballroom dancing, traveling, baking, and fitness training.
