The mission of Albemarle Road Elementary school

Our mission is to work actively to provide all scholars and their
families with a rigorous learning community that facilitates comprehensive
growth, embraces diversity and instills intrinsic desires to learn and
respect themselves and others.

The vision of Albemarle Road Elementary school

Our vision is to provide all scholars with the tools, strategies,
skills and motivation to grow academically, socially and intellectually in
order to become global life-long learners.

Our Belief Statements

Our belief is that every child is a natural learner with the ability to wonder, ask questions, and explore in the role of a student.
Our belief is that staff will work as a team to provide a child with all the resources necessary for their success.
Our belief is that our school will be a safe environment where every child can grow academically, personally, and socially.
Our belief is that staff will model character traits and plan essential instruction.
Our belief is that our families are an essential part of each child's success and will be treated as partners in the learning process.

The Mustang Pledge:

An Academy of World Studies

The choice theme program features student exposure to other cultures, traditions and heritage around the world. At each grade level, K-5, students will focus on one particular country or continent. Curriculum concepts and skills will be integrated through the studies of countries and continents, including their literature, arts and history. Each child will have the opportunity to acquire a richer and more meaningful awareness, understanding, acceptance and respect for diverse populations. Caring, sharing and cooperation will be fostered as students develop this global perspective.

"We are a uniform school"

Albemarle Road Elementary School is a "uniform school." It is mandatory that students wear navy pants, shorts, skirts, or jumpers along with a white shirt or blouse with a "collar." This is our primary uniform. An alternative uniform is the color khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or jumper along with a navy shirt or blouse with a collar. Students shall not wear open-toed or open-heeled shoes, nor flip flops or sandals for safety reasons.
