Beliefs and Mission

Posted by ewd@cm..., 7/15/06 at 6:55:07 AM.

Our Mission Statement:
The mission of Amay James Pre-Kindergarten Center is to provide a comprehensive education that will enhance individual student goals, school structure, and learning objectives set forth by the Bright Beginnings Program in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment supported by a caring staff, parents and the community.

Our Beliefs:

  • We believe that learning is a life-long process that is established in the formative years of life.
  • We believe that students are our greatest resource.
  • We believe that although abilities and learning styles may differ, each individual can learn.
  • We believe each child is entitled to the privilege of an education, regardless of gender, race, color, national origin, religion, disability or citizenship status.
  • We believe each child is equally important and deserving of fair treatment.
  • We believe quality learning activities promote good citizenship, cultural diversity, and personal responsibility.
  • We believe that a successful education system is the product of compassionately empowered and knowledgeable individuals working together (community, parents, staff, students, administrators, etc.) to provide a variety of learning experiences.
  • We believe curriculum and assessment should be aligned to the individual child's needs.
