What is a School School Leadership Team (SLT)?

The East Meck School Leadership Team is a group of parents, teachers and administrators who meet monthly to discuss how East Mecklenburg High School can meet its goals.

Functions of a School Leadership Team (SLT)
Facilitates the involvement of the school community in the development of the School Improvement Plan**
Encourages, supports and creates opportunities for involvement from parents in the community
Contributes to the design of the School Improvement Plan
Monitors the effectiveness of the School Improvement Plan strategies
** The School Improvement Plan is a strategic plan for how a school plans to meet its academic, parent involvement, teacher retention, etc.
